The U7 Lions were formed from the highly successful RBL cubs sessions run by Fran and Lucy.

The Lions team was formed by the first eight lads, who started at the cubs back in August 2022 and the boys moved over to Luke and Adam at the start of the new year.

Immediately we realised we had a great group of lads, and they quickly went into playing some friendlies.

The boys entered there first tournament at Field lane back in July. Both the kids and the parents had a fantastic day with the boys putting in some really good performances.

Although it was non competitive the boys all recieved medals, the smiles on there faces at the presentation was priceless.

At the start of the season we were put into group 3, after 6 weeks and some strong performances we were moved up to group 2, which has been great. It feels like the lads have found there level at the moment and are doing great in this group, having some really competitive games.

They have all become good friends attending each others birthday party’s and most recently our teams Christmas do at megazone, where we all had a great time.

All of the boys are highly competitive, both in training and games, and having 8 football mad lads at both training and games is a joy.

With a positive attitude these lads will have a some great times playing for RBL, and we can’t wait to see how they develop over the years.
