PREVIEW | ARNOLD TOWN (h)
RBL HOST LAST WEEKENDS’ OPPOSITION AS THEY AIM FOR THE SAME RESULT AT THE LEGION
UP NEXT, in the final league fixture before the upcoming County Cup Final, Mickleover RBL’s attention is on the second of a pair of league matches against Arnold Town as the hunt continues to close down on the teams above them. With enough games in hand to catch top spot, every match is a must win.
With ten points from the last twelve, RBL head into this fixture in good league form, with their last result being a convincing victory over this weekends’ opposition.
Arnold Town come into this fixture with one win in their last six matches as they sit in their customary league position of lower mid table.
Last weekend, the teams faced each other at Eagle Valley. In a match that included seven yellow cards and three reds, RBL ran out 3-1 winners with goals from Conor Livingstone, Ben Rushby and Sam Vickers and only one in reply from Arnold.

The away fixture at Eagle Valley last season was in February, with RBL coming home with a 2-0 victory. Jordy Lee and Sam Vickers on the scoresheet on that occasion.
In the 2021-22 season, at the Royal British Legion, RBL ran out easy 4-0 winners. Two goals each for Lewis Durow and Owen Brader did the damage as the Lions finished the season strongly.
The earlier fixture at Eagle Valley was in October 2021. Another easy win for RBL saw a Sam Vickers hat trick, a brace from Lee Hillier and a Liam Oliver goal as the Lions ran away 6-1 winners
