PREVIEW | CLAY CROSS TOWN (a)
LIONS FACE SECOND PLACE UNDER THE LIGHTS
Next up, after no fixture in more than two weeks, the first team travels North to face the second placed team, Clay Cross Town. After a strong start to the season, Clay Cross sit a point behind top spot with a game in hand.
In RBL’s last match, they faced last seasons’ runners up, Pinxton. A strong performance saw them maintain their 100% record to the season, winning 2-0. Goals from Dean Oliver and Lee Hillier sealed the result for the Lions.
Clay Cross have started the season in tremendous form, with just two points dropped from five matches. Their last match was a 3-2 home victory over Linby Colliery Welfare under the lights a week ago. Goals from Regan Edridge, Josh Scully and Max Dungworth took the points.
Tonight’s match is a must win for both sides. Clay Cross will want to take advantage of their game in hand and push for top spot. RBL desperately need to get the result and will be playing catchup having only played twice so far this term.
